Rules and Regulations:
Eligibility:

1.       To be eligible to compete in the competion of EDSA's second extraordinary anniversary, an individual must:
a.  Be a student of English Education Department, UMY.
b.  Not be a member of Committee of the second anniversary of EDSA UMY.
c.  Not be a member of BPH EDSA UMY.

2.       Every participant should be formally fashion outfitted with no t-shirt or slipper.
3.       All participants are recommended to avoid controversial topics (SARA).
4.       Participants must prepare their own creations which must be substantially original. Plagiarism if founded or notified to the judges by any participant may lead to disqualification.
5.       The participant should have registered.

English Speech*:
1.      Each class must send minimum a video of the speech and may only send two videos maximum.
2.      Each of the participants will deliver a substantial speech of 5-7-minute duration.
3.      The topic of the speech is “Growing and Sparkling of The Winning”.
4.      The video should be full body taken and formatted in MP4.
5.      The video and the speech text should be submitted or delivered to edsaumy@gmail.com by 14 November 2012 with the subject: SPEECH__STUDENT’S YEAR_CLASS_PARTICIPANT’S NAME.
6.      The name of the video should be the same as the email subject.

English Poem*:
1.      Each class must send minimum a video of the poem and may only send two videos maximum.
2.      Each poem consists of 15 rows minimum.
3.      The topic of the poem should be selected by participants.
4.       The video should be full body taken and formatted in MP4.
5.      The video and the speech text should be submitted or delivered to edsaumy@gmail.com by 14 November 2012 with the subject: POEM_STUDENT’S YEAR_CLASS_PARTICIPANT’S NAME.
6.      The name of the video should be the same as the email subject.

Presenter*:
1.      Each class must send minimum a video of being a presenter and may only send two videos maximum.
2.      Each of the participants will deliver the performance of 5-7-minute duration.
3.      It is uttered in English.
4.      The presentation is handling the Celebration of EDSA’s Birthday.
5.      The video should be full body taken and formatted in MP4.
6.      The video and the speech text should be submitted or delivered to edsaumy@gmail.com by 14 November 2012 with the subject: PRESENTER__STUDENT’S YEAR_CLASS_PARTICIPANT’S NAME.
7.      The tittle of the video should be the same as the email subject.

Writing Essay
1.      Each class must send minimum an essay and may only send two essays maximum.
2.      The topic of the essay is “Growing and Sparkling of The Winning”; nevertheless, the tittle should be selected by participants.
3.      The essay is 500 – 1000 words.
4.      The essay is written in Times New Roman,12, 1.5 space, A4, with all margin 2.5 cm.
5.      The file should be in Rich Text Format (rtf).
6.      The essay should be submitted or delivered to edsaumy@gmail.com by 14 November 2012 with the subject: ESSAY_STUDENT’S YEAR_CLASS_PARTICIPANT’S NAME.
7.      The name of the essay should be the same as the email subject.

Stand Up Comedy*:
1.      We afford 15 participants only.
2.      Each participant may send a video of Stand Up Comedy maximum.
3.      Each participant will deliver a comedy of 5-7-minute duration.
4.      The comedy is conveyed in the Indonesian language.
5.      It may use some properties if needed.
6.      The video should be full body taken and formatted in MP4.
7.      The video and the speech text should be submitted or delivered to edsaumy@gmail.com by 14 November 2012 with the subject: STAND-UP-COMEDY__STUDENT’S YEAR_CLASS_PARTICIPANT’S NAME.

Estafette Scrabble Balloon
1.    We afford 10 teams only which each team consists of three persons.
2.    Each group has time of five-minute duration maximum.
3.    The game’s rules:
a.       There are random letters (at balloons) that should be organized by each team.
b.      The first person takes a balloon which contains a letter and puts it on a plate.
c.       S/he transfers it to the second and third one to be arranged in order to be a word.
d.      They should the start from the beginning if the balloon falls on the middle.
e.       The first person is allowed to take the next letter when the first letter has been passed to the third person.
f.       Who has made those up or/and arranged many words than others will be the winner.



Balloon Dance
1.      We afford 15 teams only which each team consists of two persons.
2.      Each group has time of five-minute duration maximum.
3.      It is not to be allowed that a group consists of different gender.
4.      The game’s rules:
a.       Each pair should enter balloons as many as possible in the basket.
b.      They move the balloon one by one by putting the balloon in forehead.
c.       It is not allowed to use their hands.
d.      When the music plays, participants should dance and when the music stops, so should they.
e.       If on the middle way the balloon falls, they should start from the beginning.
f.       Who has put a large number of balloons will be the winner.

*All competitions should be sent in video format.
